Isha Mody PT, MS, PRPC

About Me

I came to physical therapy early, by 17, I was drawn to work that combined movement, science, and human connection, and I never really looked elsewhere. I graduated in 2016, and an internship in pelvic health thereafter quickly became the focus of my career.

A few years ago, long COVID symptoms sent me looking for answers outside conventional treatment, and I ended up in Barral's visceral work and Upledger's craniosacral therapy. What started as my own search for relief turned into a deeper interest, I trained in both, and I now offer craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation as part of my practice. Watching how much of a difference they made for patients, especially those who'd hit a wall with other approaches, reshaped how I think about care.

I see my role in PT as a guide, not an authority. I work from a biopsychosocial, trauma-informed lens, offering tools, education, and collaboration with other providers when it's useful, but the goal is always the same: a space where you feel informed, grounded, and actually heard.

I live in Brooklyn with my wife, and outside the clinic you'll usually find us eating our way through the city, seeing friends and family, or traveling. I also bake sourdough, cook, run, and am slowly turning my apartment into a plant jungle. I run a half marathon most years and ran the 2024 NYC Marathon.
