Irvington Wellness Center

About Me

Welcome to Irvington Wellness Center!

"Yesterday, I was clever and I wanted to change the world.
Today, I am wise - so I am changing myself." Rumi

We  have been serving our community for nearly 15 years- rooted deep in our historic building and neighborhood.

We provide a full range of services including acupuncture, physical therapy, cranio-sacral therapy, Zero Balancing, and deep tissue massage. We also offer a host of classes including vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, Tai Chi, Spring Forest Qi Gong, and Healing Breathwork.  We are also a Brain Tap affiliate.

We have a highly-trained incredibly talented staff who thrive on collaboration and work to help their clients have the best outcomes possible.

I am Laura Lea Sweney, a licensed physical therapist, certified massage therapist, Zero Balancing faculty and practitioner. I also run the day to day operations of the center.
I love all my jobs!
I have been practicing nearly 30 years, and I am still learning new things - I work very hard to keep my skill level at the leading edge.  I am a passionately curious person - who has 3 books open at the same time, always asking questions, always have projects underway.  I am truly just as excited about practicing PT and manual therapy as I was 30 years ago - now I'm just a bit better at it.

Irvington Wellness Center
We provide experiential opportunities for individual and community transformation by empowering, enlivening and fortifying the body/mind/spirit.
