Ilona has
always been interested in holistic health, but a tragic loss of a very close
family member put her on the path of studying medicine. She believes that to
really helping patients involves more than just assessing the symptomatic areas
for the root cause of diseases. She used to run a successful remedial massage
clinic, when she decided it was time to return to university and study further
to become an Osteopath. Following graduation she worked in a private clinic and
out of a medical centre. She now offers appointments in Redland Bay (southern
suburb of Brisbane Australia), in a purpose built room providing a calm and
relaxing environment for treatment.
Ilona enjoys working with patients of all ages, utilising a range of techniques
to treat a variety of conditions. She understands that the management of health
and wellbeing is as important as the resolution of pain. Having developed good
working relationship with GP's, she is happy to correspond with them should
this be appropriate.
Ilona addresses each patients presenting
problems individually utilising an array of techniques that suit the individual
to achieve the best outcome. She enjoys building long term relationships with
her patients that stems from her care and desire to help everyone who comes
through the door. She believes in patient education to bring awareness to the
many aspects relating to their health. Thus uses a holistic approach relating
to movement, mindset, nutrition, and recovery to improve their wellbeing long
term.
