About
My interest in body-mind and movement integration began with my
early training in modern dance and psychology.Â
I attained a Bachelor of Arts
in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and Dance from East Carolina University
and completed 3 years toward a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance, Choreography
& Teaching from Ohio University.
After my formal education, I pursued my interest in the
healing arts training extensively in the field of somatic movement therapy/ education
& bodywork.
This is my 33rd year in private practice where I combine
principles from CranioSacral Therapy, The Alexander Technique, The Trager
Approach, Body-Mind Centering and other body-mind disciplines to assist my clients
and students with their challenges & goals.Â
Each method includes gentle non-invasive touch and movement exploration
to help infants to seniors’ free tensions in their body, improve movement coordination,
heal the central nervous system, find ease and embody a sense of vitality &
well-being.
