Emily graduated with a doctoral degree in physical therapy from University of California, San Francisco/San Francisco State University DPT program in 2011 and has been a licensed PT in the state of California since June 2011. She completed a 3-month residency in Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation at Kaiser Vallejo in 2011 and an over one year long residency through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) in Functional Manual Therapy. In 2014 she became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the IPA. She has also taken numerous continuing education courses on pelvic health through Herman & Wallace and the APTA section on Pelvic Health, along with courses in visceral and neural manipulation through the Barral Institute.

Enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending time outdoors, moving her body (running, yoga, Pilates, skiing, just to name a few), reading, art, and listening to live music.

Manual therapist skilled in treating birth preparation/readiness, pre- and post-natal pelvic floor and orthopedic issues, diastasis recti abdominis, dysfunction and pain related to scar tissue, urinary and fecal incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, coccydynia, endometriosis, dyspareunia, visceral mobilization, neural mobilization, spinal dysfunctions, upper extremity and lower extremity sprains, strains, and joint dysfunctions, TMJ dysfunction and headaches, post-concussion, sports-related injuries (with particular emphasis on running-related injuries), and neurological disorders. Treats all ages and genders. Utilizes proprioceptive neuromuscular re-education (PNF) and specific exercise in treatment approach.
