Diane Litwin BSN, RN, IBCLC

About Me

I am a Registered Nurse for over 15 years and have worked in medical-surgical, postpartum and pediatric allergy but now work primarily as a lactation consultant (IBCLC), offering feeding support to families across Fairfax County, Virginia and Arlington.

My struggles with breastfeeding and a short 4-day NICU stay with my firstborn child due to jaundice and oral ties changed my professional focus from nursing to lactation. This has truly inspired me to offer the help that many lactating parents need when first starting out to avoid the frustration that I went through myself. I became an IBCLC to provide excellent and compassionate care to families in need. Although, I am versed in all feeding and lactation aspects, I do hold a special focus and interest on tethered oral tissues (tongue/lip ties), having dealt with that topic with both of my children as well as myself.
