Eagle's Wings Therapies

About Me

Greetings! I am a native Fort Collins, Coloradoan, born at a time when hiking trails up Poudre Canyon and backpacking in the Rawah wilderness wasn't crowded!

What can I say? I absolutely love this work! Some people research options in their lives and choose to become craniosacral therapists. In my case, the therapy chose me. I have a child with severe disabilities. One day I was working on his body - using the Masgutova Method for retained primitive reflexes. Suddenly, I felt something I hadn't noticed before. What was it? I wondered if it was a cranial rhythm, so I immediately scheduled an appointment for him with his Craniosacral therapist and discovered that I, indeed, was feeling his cranial rhythm. And so began a new journey in my life - and his. Initially family and friends were my only clients. Then it dawned on me. I am actually helping them. How exciting! Why not start a business?

And so I did, and it grew by word of mouth. People were coming back to see me and they were getting stronger. My clients' bodies taught me how to learn more and more. When I didn't have the answers, I found classes that would teach me what they needed. The better I listened to their bodies the more exciting the work became. My favorite comment from a client of any age is, "Look what I can do!" as they move in ways they couldn't before.

Helping people regain a part of their lives they have lost is so rewarding.

I immediately knew I wanted to learn more about neurology, so initially, I focused on brain classes from Upledger and the Barral Institute after completing foundational classes. Then I trained with EEG Info to learn the Othmer method of neurofeedback. The two therapies work very well together.

It became obvious I needed to learn more about emotions trapped within the body, so I took three courses about "somato-emotional" release and am currently working on certification in developmental trauma from the Trauma Research Foundation.

Besides these trainings, I have learned the hypothalamus reset technique and have been trained in 4 modalities with retained primitive reflexes - Masgutova, INPP, RMTi, and QRI and regularly incorporate facets of all of these into work with any client.

I hope you find the office space to be comfortable, relaxed, safe and a neutral space to help you heal.

I hope to see you soon!
