About
I am fascinated by anatomy, movement, and the human body. Our healthcare system has created a myriad of specialties--urology, gastroenterology, gynecology, orthopedics, psychology, etc. Many people with pain have been bounced around from one practitioner to another, sometimes for years, with no answers. I believe the body should be treated as a whole, functioning unit. Injury, disease, surgery, pregnancy, emotional stress, and trauma can all cause tension within the body's systems. The body has an inherent need for balance, and it knows what it needs to heal itself to regain that balance. Through my training, I have come to realize that my job as a therapist is listen to what your body is saying and provide gentle manual therapy to help remove barriers to healing. Improving visceral motility, regulating craniosacral rhythm, and decreasing fascial restriction leads to better mobility when performing daily tasks and exercise. Movement is imperative for a healthy body!Â
