About Me

My name is David R Shaddock.  After a long career designing control system equipment as a licensed professional engineer and computer programmer, my natural next step was to pursue the healing arts.  I became a yoga teacher and Reiki master, and am both a co-director of Heartwood Yoga Institute, an accredited yoga therapy school on 7 acres near Florida's Gulf coast, and a co-founder of the Florida Reiki Association.  My favorite expression is "If the only tool you have is a hammer, you see every problem as a nail."  I am proud to bring a full toolbox to the table as we work together to see what might best help you make yourself a happier and healthier inhabitant of this planet.

I bring various elements of my medical background as an Emergency Cardiac Technician and a Paramedic, plus my experiences leading shamanic journeys at our medicine wheel and my background as a musician and vibrational healer, and couple all those with my love of exploring the facets of human existence and the interplay of biology and belief as we examine those things that might be preventing you from achieving your full potential. 

I love massage therapy and the way I can help clients feel and look better, but I am utterly fascinated with craniosacral therapy and the remarkable evidence I have witnessed of its power to help people correct their balance and connect their physical bodies with their emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects as well as their breath.  Clients here may enjoy a walk on our labyrinth, meditation in our Chakra garden or at the wishing tree or medicine wheel, or spent some peaceful contemplation time in our bamboo circle or in our meditation gazebo.
