Christy grew up in Spokane and attended Washington State University to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship with the necessary courses in Biology to apply to physical therapy school. She then moved to Denver, CO to attend Regis University to achieve her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Upon graduation, she moved to Kirkland, WA to work in a manual therapy specialized outpatient clinic and participate in Ola Grimsby’s Residency and Fellowship post-doctorate programs. These programs helped build her foundation in evaluation and treatment which supports her interests in treating complex pain. She has studied visceral manipulation which is another tool in understanding and addressing how the body is interconnected to treat difficult to explain pain. She loves to help patients find how to heal and raise their level of function to thrive. Outside the world of physical therapy, Christy finds ways to get into the wilderness, soak up local arts through galleries, music, and theater, and travel abroad, nationally, and locally. Upon moving back to Spokane, she met her now husband David Hauschild and they love hiking with their yellow lab Nellie and watching their daughter learn and grow.
