Physical Therapist

Carrie is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo with BS degrees in Physical Therapy and Exercise Science .  She is a licensed physical therapist in NY with over 30 years of experience and is the owner of  Carrie Ruffner Body Balance LLC located in Geneseo, NY.

Carrie became interested in complimentary and alternative medicine after discovering first hand the power of incorporating these practices into traditional Physical Therapy.  This led her to study CranioSacral Therapy, Energetic Balancing and Healing From The Core course work.

In addition to continued studies in physical therapy, Carrie has studied  Tai Chi, holds a black belt in White Crane Kung Fu and is a Reiki Master .  She has studied Ayurveda with Dr V. Ladd and Sonam Targee and is a certified Vishoka Meditation Instructor through the Himalayan Institute. Carrie is a Certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance. She  teaches on line, in studio at Ritz Mountain Yoga in Livonia N.Y., and has volunteered with Yoga Prison Project.

Initial Evaluation and Body Balance Session  (90 mins)   $125.00

Initial Evaluation is a full body assessment looking at posture, strength, range of motion and lines of tension within the soft tissue.  Together we'll set goals and then get your treatment started 

Body Balance Session (60 mins.)    $110.00

 An individualized treatment approach drawing from the rich practices of Physical Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Energetic Balancing and Reiki, Yoga and Ayurveda, Sound Therapy and Therapeutic Exercise .

*Package of 3 additional Body Balance Sessions for $300.00 (after initial 90 min. session.)


As a Physical Therapist in N.Y.S., if you are under the care of a medical practitioner for your current problem, you may receive some reimbursement from your insurance plan if your plan includes out of network coverage.  I am an out of network provider and request payment at the time of service.  I'll help submit a claim to your insurance provider on your behalf with reimbursement going directly to you if appropriate.
