AboutI studied Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) in order to help my female clients with breast cancer. I provide pre and post-operative care (e.g. lymph node removal, liposuction, tummy tuck, face lifts, hip/knee replacement, etc.). I also frequently work with pregnant and nursing women, and with IBS sufferers to reduce swelling and inflammation. LDT can improve function and movement, reduce pain, promote healthy scar formation, and hasten healing. I incorporate Zero Balancing in many of my treatments because of its emotional and physical benefits.
My SkillsI have been practicing massage therapy since 2001. My training includes Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Zero Balancing, deep tissue massage, orthopedic massage, pregnancy massage, sports massage, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, massage cupping, kinesio taping. I graduated at the top of my class from the Massage Institute of New England (MINE) and subsequently became an instructor of Anatomy, Pathology, and Orthopedic Injuries at MINE and of Musculoskeletal Anatomy and Kinesiology at Cortiva Institute in Watertown, MA. I enjoy working with chiropractors, physical therapists, gynecologists, oncologists, acupuncturists, and other health practitioners to ensure a comprehensive treatment program leading to recovery and rehabilitation. A holistic approach that focuses on both the body's structure and the natural flow of the body's energy is necessary to alleviate acute and chronic physical conditions and related emotional states.
