Angela Clee Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

About Me

Angela is from Wales but has been calling Halifax home for the last 10 years.  She was educated at Cardiff University with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiology in 2000.  After some time spent travelling she returned to begin her Osteopathic training, achieving a Bachelor's Degree in Osteopathy with Distinction in 2008 from the prestigious British School of Osteopathy in London (now called University College of Osteopathy).

Angela has been practicing Manual Osteopathy for over 16 years within the UK, Barbados and Canada where she has gained a wealth of experience in treating a wide-range of conditions and injuries.  For optimal results, she enjoys using an integrative approach to assessment and treatment, incorporating a range of manual therapy approaches in her practice, including Soft Tissue and Myofascial Release, Osteopathic Joint Mobilization, Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Visceral and Neural Manipulation.

Angela is a member, in good standing, of the General Osteopathic Council (UK) and the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths (NSAO).  She has a strong commitment to continuous professional development and has taken many postgraduate courses including:

  • Advanced Osteopathic Manipulation courses
  • Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy
  • Cranial Osteopathy Courses at both The Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (Osteopathy in the Cranial Field) and at the Upledger Institute (CS1, CS2, SER1)
  • Visceral Manipulation Courses (VM1-4) at the Barral Institute, focusing on the abdomen, thorax and pelvis
  • Neural Manipulation (NM1) with The Barral Institute
  • Women's Health, including osteopathic care during pregnancy

Angela is also currently a voluntary member of the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopathy's Continuous Professional Development Committee.

Away from the clinic and manual therapy, Angela enjoys fitness, including training at the gym, swimming and yoga.  She is a part-time runner - you might even see her at the annual Blue Noes run!  Being by the ocean is her happy place and she has a passion for surfing alongside her partner (especially in warm, tropical waters!).
