Spirit of Healing - Alyssa Ryan Calm, BA, LMT, CILT

About Me

Alyssa has a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Florida Gulf Coast University. She lives with her husband, Victor, 2 daughters, and son in Columbus, OH. She is the first intern at Spirit of Healing to receive her certification as a Certified Independent Lactation Therapist, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and is working towards earning her certification in craniosacral therapy through Upledger Institute. She began her work in this field after finding such wonderful support and guidance from practitioners in multiple modalities and found passion in offering the same guidance and care to other families, infants and children, and adults.

As a Certified Independent Lactation Therapist (CILT) Alyssa has the privilege of working with many families to help them achieve their breastfeeding goals. She began her Craniosacral therapy training in the Spring of 2016 to help better support families in the pursuit of successful breastfeeding relationships. She has since expanded her practice to include massage therapy and also works with older children and adults on their journey for health and rebalancing. 

Alyssa looks forward to continuing her work with newborns as well as Prenatal, Birth and Post-Partum care, CST, SER, and massage clients of all ages.

My Skills

Alyssa is a Licensed Massage Therapist (licensed through the Ohio State Medical Board), Certified Independent Lactation Therapist (certified through Hazelbalker Lactation Institute), has taken CS1, CS2, and SER 1 through Upledger Institute, and has taken training courses for Rhythmic Movement and Haller Method for sensory and reflex integration.
