Allison Megeney PT

About Me

Allison Graduated from Mcgill University on 1994 with a bachelor of science in Physiotherapy. Her love for the mountains and outdoors brought her to the west coast of British Columbia. She has spent the past 20+ years working and adventuring in the Vancouver, Whistler and Pemberton areas.


Allison worked full time with the National Canadian Women’s ski team from 1998-2002 and was a member of the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic medical team. Over the past 20 years she has been involved as a therapist with the Canadian national snowboard team, the whistler adaptive ski program, various rugby clubs and local sports teams. Her practice has spanned the globe as she travelled with the national ski team and owned a small practice in Sayulita, Mexico. She has also worked at several yoga and fitness retreats.


Allison enjoys running, yoga and is an avid skier, surfer and mountain biker. She has 2 young girls and loves to travel. She believes in the bodies desire to find balance and heal. She looks forward to helping you achieve your goals and get back to what you love doing!


My Skills

Allison has a home based practice offering one-on-one sessions. She incorporates a variety of hands on therapy techniques in her practice including joint mobilization and manipulation, soft tissue release, myofascial release, visceral mobilization, neural mobilization and stretching. Patient education and postural re-education is a strong component of the treatment plan as well as individualized exercise programs.
