Aspen Integrative Medical Center

About Me

Symptoms are the body’s innate expression of imbalance; messengers asking for an agent of change. Dr. Mele extends her healing hands and tools to find that imbalance in every patient using herbs, hands on manual therapy, homeopathy and biotherapeutic drainage guided by the laws of nature and the naturopathic Therapeutic Order.

Dr. Mele honors the vitalist traditions of naturopathic medicine, she is also a Registered Herbalist (RH) through the American Herbalist Guild and enjoys working with patients to find their own herbal allies. She brings extensive training and clinical experience with botanical medicine, including use of low dose botanicals. Dr. Mele continues to be a steward for the land and works closely with creating right relationship with the plants of the desert Southwest. Dr. Mele has a special interest in treating women’s health, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune diseases, hypermobile spectrum disorders (hEDS), and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) but welcomes any patient concern.

The body is interconnected and intelligent, and diseases that affect multiple organ systems, especially autoimmune diseases, strongly and profoundly benefit from a holistic approach and perspective. Herbs, movement, nutrition, homeopathy, biotherapeutic drainage and hydrotherapy are the roots of natural medicine- and help to subtly shift the body’s energetic signature toward health and healing. Dr. Mele primarily focuses on these modalities of treatment along with many hours of advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and Visceral Manipulation. She is the most highly trained naturopathic physician in these modalities in the state of Arizona and is continually taking classes to increase her study and skill of the body and its patterns. Not only do these techniques shift physical symptoms but are also effective for nervous system regulation and somatically working through emotional trauma. Dr. Mele believes the patient is their own healing force, she is simply there to facilitate and provide the tools for the journey.
