I have encountered a lot of people with chronic pain, from within my own family, myself, and strangers that have come in for a massage because nothing else has worked. I have seen what the power of touch can do for people in pain and I have felt the effects myself. This lead me to massage therapy as a career with the eventual goal of making it a more main stream and accepted form of alternative health care.

I'm originally from Ann Arbor, MI but came down to Columbus, OH in 2006 to attend The Ohio State University. After graduating, I discovered M.T. Wellness, a small chronic pain clinic, that was offering LMT classes in a medical model format. So I stayed in Columbus, earned a Diploma from M.T. Wellness, and earned two years of massage experience by working at a Chiropractic office and a local Spa. In 2014 I finally decided to use my knowledge to start a business of my own, Massage By Alaina, LLC, so I could focus more on individual client care. In January 2019 my husband, also a LMT, joined me in business and we changed the name to Neal Massage Therapy, LLC.

Hours of operation / Fees

I only charge by time and not modality.

New Client rate of $50 for the first hour or $75 for the first hour and a half session. All following sessions are $70 per hour and $95 per hour and a half sessions.

I work Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Friday.

Skills

I was trained as a Massage Therapist at a small chronic pain clinic in Columbus Ohio, where I learned Deep Tissue style massage, Ortho Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Myofascial Release. My focus has always been on whole body wellness and balancing. In addition to the medical massage background, I have added on to my skill set with other continuing education classes.

I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist since 2014, and took my class through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. I see post surgical patients, post liposuction patients, and those who are both currently undergoing Cancer treatment and those who have completed Cancer treatment. I completed CranioSacral Therapy 1 through Upledger in 2017. I perform sessions that use only one modality, or blend them together to meet the needs of the individual client.
