CranioSacral Therapy, Massage and Yoga
LMT, CST, Yoga Ins I have been a Massage Therapist and Yoga instructor for more than 25 years. I am Certified in CranioSacral Therapy. I also specialize in SomatoEmotional Release, deep tissue massage, Trigger point therapy, Myofascial Therapy, shiatsu and lymph drainage. I became aware that massage Therapy and Yoga, have been a lifetime vocation when two old school friends got in touch recently and reminded me that I was rubbing their backs and dragging them to League of Health (Yoga class)when we were 10 years old. Some things are just meant to be. I treat a variety of health problems. Migraines, back pain, neck pain, whip lash, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, fascial conditions following car accidents or falls. The list is endless. But I also love to work with a healthy person who just wants to stay healthy. I have recently started adding in more lymph drainage then ever before. The techniques work well with CranioSacral Therapy. As a yoga instructor, I automatically tie in postural analysis and one or two yoga stretches to the mix so that the client has homework to do that will be most effective for their current situation. When appropriate, I give extensive instruction in the use of a still point inducer, and/or foam roller and/or Miracle Ball technique and/or a variety of self help techniques so the client can do for themselves when they go home. CranioSacral Therapy came into my life during a migraine. A physical therapist had just taken a class and offered to try some of the techniques she had just learned. In less then 10 minutes I has better down to my toes I mean better, better. Medication helped take the edge off, if that, in my experience. CranioSacral therapy just fixed me. I was totally hooked. That was back in 1987. And it has been an amazing journey. Recently in 2009 I had a hip replacement. I am 56 years old. Rather young for such a major surgery. Friends who practice CranioSacral therapy came to the house to work on me. And I am newly hooked, because of the amazing results. I was able to cope without pain killers and I am convinced I healed more quickly thanks to their kind, loving generous hands. CranioSacral Therapy is the closest way I know to hands on prayer. Becoming certified in CST was a milestone in my life. My skills Articles & Books Written Professional Associations / Memberships Upledger Affiliations
