Stephen Waters Dr. Stephen E. Waters has been studying and practicing holistic alternative medicine and natural healing for over 30 years. The focus of his practice is on thorough, individualized care in which "one size doesn't fit all". His practice includes adults and children of all ages. The goal is to achieve high level wellness by strengthening the immune system and ridding the body of toxic influences without the use of harmful drugs. By observing blood chemistry, probable patterns of dysfunction can be determined. This will lead to a metabolic and systemic assessment which will indicate the proper protocol to return the body and mind to homeostasis (balance). This process is in complete accord with principles of physiology and biochemistry. By recommending specific nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle changes based on observable patterns, health can be restored. Dr. Waters has earned degrees in chiropractic, acupuncture and natural medicine. In addition, he has completed courses in classical homeopathy and shiatsu. He is involved in continuing studies in craniosacral therapy and is part of the assistant teaching staff at the Upledger Institute. He has been teaching yoga for eighteen years. For the past three years, Dr. Waters has been using functional blood chemistry analysis and functional endocrinology for a major part of his evaluation. Other methods of assessment such as hair - tissue mineral analysis and live blood microscopy may be used. Dr. Waters is a board certified Alternative Medical Practitioner, a board certified Holistic Health Practitioner and board certified in Integrative Medicine. On December 2010, Dr. Waters was awarded diplomate status with the American Association or Integrative Medicine. In January 2012, he was awarded Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine (FAAIM). |
