About

Rita Benamor was born in Lisbon, Portugal, where she lives. She is an osteopath, took her degree at Brookes Oxford University, UK. She continued her clinical education through courses offered by the Upledger Institute and Barral Institute. She took the complete curriculum of Visceral, Vascular, Neural Manipulation and New Articular Approach, as well as other specialized courses offered by the Barral Institute, as well as Craniosacral Therapy with Upledger Institute.

Rita works in her private clinic in Lisbon, where she sees patients of all ages and integrates all those modalities.

She became a certified diplomate practioner in Craniosacral therapy (CST-D) and a certified diplomate practioner in Visceral Manipulation (BI-D) in 2011.

In 2012 she became a certified instructor of Visceral Manipulation with the Barral Institute and Craniosacral Therapy 1 certified intructor with the Upledger Institute. By now, Rita teaches at home and internationally VM1, VM2, VM3 and VM4, and also NM1 and NM2. Thanks to her language skills, she is able to teach in english, portuguese, spanish, italian and french. She feels very honoured to teach these classes, for it allows her to share with others her passion for the work developped by Jean-Pierre Barral.

In 2017 she became the director of the Portugal Satellite of Barral Institute.
