Laura Probert M.P.T.

Laura graduated from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, California with her Master's in Physical Therapy in 1994. She began her career at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington D.C. where she managed a variety of complex patients. Outpatient orthopedics and manual therapy became her expertise as she gained clinical and managerial experience over the next several years. Laura founded Bodyworks Physical Therapy in 2008 in order to practice physical therapy in a setting that embodies her philosophy of treatment which includes the idea that true healing involves the mind, body and spirit. Helping her patients to heal means empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation and being able to provide the hands on therapy and education they need.

My skills
Laura's manual skills vary and in addition to specializing in craniosacral therapy she uses myofascial release, strain counterstrain, and muscle energy technique to help her patients heal. Exercise programs are customized for the individual and incorporate unique programs to release restrictions and balance the musculature.
