Kesler Physical Massage & Movement Therapy
May Kesler, MA, M.S., MTh, P.T. May is the former director of the Center for Physical and Massage Therapy, and now Kesler Physical Massage & Movement Therapy. May is a licensed physical therapist as well as a massage therapist, and so is highly skilled in manual therapies, including myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, trigger point, visceral manipulation, and other advanced manual techniques. May has been a P.T. for 26 years, having graduated in 1982 from NYC's Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy. Her interest in healing was born from her mother's influence as a pediatrician, and May's career as a dancer and choreographer. Minor injuries introduced May to physical and massage therapy, and she found her calling through hands on work, healing as her mother did, through motion and movement as her love for dance has taught her. Her keen sense of touch enables her to find and unwind restrictions and pain, resulting in a session of healing and lasting relief from chronic and acute injury and dysfunction. Her dance experience and her status as a Certified teacher of the Zena Rommett Floor-Barre technique, an exercise therapy, adds to her ability to teach efficient, strengthening, coordination, stability and balance exercise using methods that are accessible to most disabilities. A session with May can be 30 min or 1 hour. On the first visit consists of a health history and complete PT evaluation, followed by treatment to help alleviate pain, decreased motion, improve balance, strength, flexibility and return to an agile healthly lifestyle.
