L.M.T.
I absolutely love the effects that CranioSacral work has on my clients. It's the icing on the cake, so to speak, and for some, it's what is most needed to really get their body into a healing mode. I also love teaching body awareness through this modality. I have observed that our inner journey is the key and cornerstone where healing is most powerfully generated.
My Skills
My intention as a massage therapist is to not only help relieve your pain and stress, but to use massage as a vehicle to enhance general health and to serve as a model for natural health and wellness. To make sure that happens, I have integrated an array of techniques and perspectives into my practice
to help my clients stay physically and emotionally healthy.
I studied nutrition, indoor air pollution and stress management at the Empire State College in Nyack, New York and then graduated in 1993 from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in Manhattan. I bought a massage practice in Nyack at that time and there had maintained a full-time clientele for several years. After moving my residence to Westchester County in 2000, by November 2002, my business had evolved into a full-time clientele from both Rockland and Westchester Counties. Then in 2003, as a genuine compliment to my healing art, I became a Shaklee distributor, incorporating conscientious health products into my holistic health and wellness massage practice. Currently, I see some clients from Rockland County in their homes. Most other clients from both Counties visit my Tarrytown home office, conveniently located in the village of Tarrytown, NY, close to major highways and even close to
the cut through to the Saw Mill River Parkway, near Pocantico and Eastview.
I've continued my massage education with an ongoing study of the body's energy field through Yoga, CranioSacral studies, meditation and Homeopathy. In addition, I have incorporated into my practice techniques such as, trigger point, deep tissue, neuromuscular re-patterning and Yoga, to name a few. And, I've become experienced in helping the aged and people with a myriad of conditions like, arthritis, fibromyalgia, torticollis, scoliosis, sprains, whiplash, tendonitis, anxiety, cancer and some chronic degenerative disorders of the nervous system, including Parkinson's disease. I am also certified in prenatal massage.
Over the years, I've developed an intuitive gift for working with clients and, throughout most of my life; I have sustained an ardent devotion to the harmonies in nature. The heart of my therapeutic approach is to develop a set of individual goals for each client then, use massage as an art and science along
with my holistic background and resources to ensure those goals are achieved.
