Julia Francis
NCBTMB
I have developed a very eclectic approach over the years as I have worked with people and animals, encouraging the body to heal.
My experience with craniosacral therapy (CST), both giving and receiving, has always been helpful, often powerful, and sometimes just plain magical. There seems to be no limit to the benefits this therapy can offer.
I began my craniosacral therapy training with the Upledger Institute through the equine class. As a volunteer Reiki practitioner at Harmony HorseWorks Rescue in Conifer, Colorado, I was introduced to the notion of giving CST to the horses. This was a turning point for me in my career with the animals, as well as with my human clientele as I began to experience the practice of craniosacral therapy. I really love doing this work.
I completed the Healing Touch for Animals® program in 2008 and find that it blends perfectly with CST. Often I am asked if I prefer to work with animals or people. The answer is both. The animals respond without resistance and you notice often immediately that it has a healing effect upon their physical as well as their emotional state of mind.
I love working with people also. They want to feel better. People can talk to me. They can tell me where it hurts and direct their session — or not. Sometimes the dialog is intense, playful, or absent. When there are few words spoken there is an opportunity to connect with presence - source of energy - and let that direct the session.

Testimonials
“Julia brings remarkable presence and intuition to each healing session. I have experienced her craniosacral, massage, and Reiki techniques many times over the years, and I know that her work was a huge factor in my return to wellness. I am forever grateful.”

“Julia started doing energy work with Saphira, a 6 year old Arabian mare. Saphira had been on 128 acres with about 20 other mares, without human touch for about 5 1/2 years. When we got and brought her to Denver from Nebraska, she was pretty wild. After spending 2 months trying to catch her, we hired a trainer specializing in wild horses. After 5 weeks, we could catch & halter her, only if she was in a small pen.
When we brought Saphira home from the trainers, we contacted Julia Francis. After Julia did energy work with Saphira for about an hour the change was amazing. We could actually walk up to her in a large corral. Julia worked with Saphira for about an hour for 6 sessions over an eight week period.
Not only can we touch & stroke Saphira all over, pick up her feet to clean them, put a saddle blanket on her, halter her in a large corral, but we can approach and stoke her in the 100 acre pasture.
The change in Saphira is like a miracle. We are so grateful to Julia.”

"Julia’s hands and mind guide her in ways that can only be called intuitive and healing. Without Julia’s help, our lead gelding would not be as mobile or spunky as he is now. The beginning point of Julia’s work is will and intention. The end result is a more relaxed, supple and agreeable horse.”
~Barbara Wright, Director, Harmony HorseWorks, Conifer, Colorado
“Julia Francis, with her usual integrity and sensitivity, worked on our elderly family companion feline, Mr. Angel Gabriel Underfoot, just after he celebrated his 17th birthday with a sudden onset of old-man syndrome that seemed to offer him death’s door. Angel has received energy work and acupuncture his whole life, in person and long-distance, as well as participated in Reiki training workshops and healing sessions as somewhat of a healer himself. He is used to receiving energy, responds well to it, and seems to understand when aid is coming to him. Julia worked on Angel long distance during this sudden and acute turn of events in his health and he responded noticeably, his mobility and life force strengthening. Several days later, Julia worked on him in person, evidently clearly him of digestive/esophageal difficulty which resulted in resumption of his eating and further increase in his mobility."
