I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy, London, in 1986. Following graduation, I began my professional practice in manipulative Osteopathy.
In 1995 Cranio-Sacral Therapy took my interest after a colleague lent me a text book by Dr. Upledger, so convinced by the work, I travelled to America to begin training as an Upledger Cranio-Sacral Therapist. From that point forward my entire professional attitude changed, as have my abilities to interact with patients on a clinical and personal level. As I have completed the Upledger training schedule through entry level to advanced courses,
Cranio-Sacral Therapy has continued to allow me great personal growth. My continued development in Upledger Cranio-Sacral Therapy and techniques, allows my patients to experience, embrace and release more of their own personal issues. My Skills
A visit to the Redruth Osteopathic Clinic will involve a full case history, examination, and further tests if required.
Following the initial interview and examination, treatment starts on the first visit, and will be applied in direct response to the needs of your structure, function and symptom picture, without judgement, whatever your personal process.
Everyone is different, so treatments vary from person to person. Whether you are a newborn, in your middle years, adolescent, or older in years, this approach is safe and effective.
Most of your treatment will involve Cranio-Sacral Therapy which may lead to Somato-Emotional Release, if that is what you need or want to do in a session.
The examination and treatment will not require you to undress, unless there is a need for a full postural or clinical examination.
You will be asked to sign a consent form, which requests your permission to be examined and treated. Confidentiality is always maintained to the highest level at The Redruth Osteopathic Clinic
