Dana Keeler Dana Keeler has been on a long and circuitous journey to become a practitioner of mind/body integration. It started out in 1972 when she entered the Dance Therapy program at the University of Wisconsin and graduated in 1975. A lifetime of dance lessons and an interest in psychology led her to this program. After graduating with her BA in Dance Therapy, she danced professionally in both Boston and New York. Many years later in 1989 she returned to her studies in psychology and received a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City. She was a social worker and member of the AIDS Team at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. During this time the thought of mind/body integration again entered her mind. In 1994 she graduated from the Florida School of Massage in Gainesville and became licensed in both Florida and New York State. She has continued to specialize through certification programs in CranioSacral Therapy, Craniosacral Biodynamics, SomatoEmotional Release and Polarity Therapy. In 1995 she became a certified yoga instructor through the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California. In 1996 she opened her practice in New York City and, for the first time, she was able to combine all her experiences into a practice that is both satisfying to her and beneficial to her clients. Since 1998 she has been teaching at the Swedish Institute of Massage in New York City. |
