Thomas Nichols Tom Nichols is a licensed physical therapist in both Virginia and Maryland and a certified CranioSacral therapist. He has worked over 25 years in hospital-based therapy and as a private practice clinician. Tom began his professional career as a graduate of physical therapy from University of Maryland. He later earned an MBA from the Executive MBA program at Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. Tom's work in hospitals has been with patient care and administration which has allowed him to experience multiple patient types. This led him to specialize in wound care. Tom has been practicing CST since 1993 and has taken classes also in visceral manipulation and energy integration. He is a certified TA in CranioSacral Therapy and in SER classes. He has also been a preceptor in Advanced CST and a visiting therapist at the clinic at the Upledger Institute in Florida. He discovered the joys and benefits of pediatric CST and began treating children in 1999. Along with his hospital position, Tom co-treats with his partner, Sue Bovenizer CMT,CST, in a part-time multi-hands pediatric practice. He also co-runs the CST Techniques study group in Charlottesville with Sue. His recent passion has been to work with dolphins in the Dolphin Assisted Therapy Program in the Bahamas, where he has seen and felt the benefits from the interactions with the dolphins and their energy. |
