Shyamala Strack
OTR/L, CST-D Shyamala Strack is a licensed Occupational Therapist, a certified CranioSacral Therapy (CST) instructor and certified advanced practitioner, diplomate (advanced) level. She holds Occupational Therapy licenses in MA, AZ, and GA and is a member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. In 1983, Shyamala graduated from Boston University cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree and holds specialty certification in the administration and interpretation of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests by Sensory Integration International. It was while taking graduate courses at BU that she learned about CST which dramatically changed the focus of her education and her life's direction. Although Shyamala has held a variety of clinical and administrative positions during her initial Occupation Therapy career, CranioSacral Therapy has been the one modality that has helped the most people in the least amount of time. Shyamala has been a visiting therapist at the Upledger Institute's Intensive Programs in Florida and its Dolphin Assisted Therapy programs in Freeport, Bahamas. After a recent move to Atlanta, Georgia, from Tucson, Arizona, Shyamala's practice in Atlanta is of similar diversity to that of her previous work. Her private therapy practice is very eclectic, treating a wide variety of physical and emotional conditions in individuals of all ages from newborns to the very old. The work that Shyamala does touches people's lives by bringing together the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of life. She specializes in helping people reconnect with their own true essence. One way that she does this is through CranioSacral Therapy. CranioSacral Therapy is her life's passion. She loves teaching the work as much as doing the therapy. There is a balance that occurs which is very fulfilling and rewarding. Shyamala truly loves bringing what she knows to those that she serves.
