Sheryl McGavin
MBA, OTR/L The first half of Sheryl McGavin's 19-year therapy career was spent working in traditional rehabilitation settings: with adults and geriatrics in hospitals and skilled nursing facilities, with children in schools, and as a certified hand therapist with hand surgeons. When she began practicing CranioSacral Therapy, however, she was so impressed by her clients' fast recovery rate that she opened a private practice to focus on occupational therapy integrated with CranioSacral Therapy. For more than eight years Ms. McGavin maintained practices simultaneously in Akron, Ohio, and Miami, Fla., where she worked intensively with pediatrics, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, addictive behaviors and other conditions. In 1999 she joined the Upledger Clinic staff full time. Today she focuses her efforts on assisting clients in both private sessions and intensive therapy programs. Ms. McGavin continues to lecture and teach on CranioSacral Therapy and related topics.
