Gretchen “Rose” Brown is an experienced practitioner, dedicated to promoting the physical, emotional and spiritual health and well-being of those she is privileged to treat in her holistic bodywork practice. “I am honored to assist people of all ages in healing the source of their pain, stress and trauma, and to help them live their lives with more awareness, balance, and enthusiasm.”
 
Rose graduated from Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork in Madison, WI where she studied CranioSacral Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish Massage, Mother’s Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Healing. She is state and nationally certified in Massage Therapy.

Rose has advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release through the Upledger Institute, Inc., based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She is techniques certified, an approved study group facilitator, and a certified teaching assistant for the Institute. Rose is a visiting therapist with Integrative Intentions, Truth Or Consequences, NM, in their adult and pediatric intensive treatment programs. Rose has additional training in Lymphatic Drainage and Brain Work through the Chikly Health Institute, Oro Valley, AZ.

Rose comes to her holistic body work practice with a Masters of Arts in Humanistic Psychology from Beacon College, Boston, MA, and a Masters of Clinical Social Work from Boston University, Boston, MA, plus over 20 years previous experience with adults, families, adolescents, and groups as a psychotherapist and clinical social worker. She has training in numerous holistic therapeutic techniques including: Gestalt Therapy, Bioenergetics, Psychosynthesis, Eriksonian Hypnosis, Accelerated Learning and N.L.P. Rose has specialized training and experience in treating people with histories of abuse, neglect, and other trauma including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
 
While CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release are at the center of her holistic bodywork practice, Rose draws from her broad experience and knowledge of therapeutic techniques to treat many acute and chronic pain and stress related conditions such as migraines and other headaches, neck and back pain, jaw pain, PMS, fibromyalgia, post surgical pain, and digestive problems. She also provides pregnancy support, assists in postpartum healing, works with traumatic pregnancies and births, and bonding issues. She continues to work with people experiencing emotional difficulties such as grief and loss, anxiety and depression, and to work with a wide range of emotional and physical trauma (including head trauma) in her therapeutic bodywork practice. She works with children and teens with learning difficulties and challenging behaviors.

Driving directions
Directions: From the North: Take East Washington Street towards the capital. Take a left turn onto S. Blair Street then a right onto John Nolen Drive. Take a right at the second light onto N. Shore Drive (151) and then an immediate right onto S. Bedford Street. From the East (my old office): From my old office building take a right onto Atwood Ave. from my parking lot, then a left at the light onto Winnebago. That ends and becomes Williamson Street after a short distance. Take Williamson Street to the end and take a left onto John Nolan Drive. Take a right at the second light onto N. Shore Drive (151) and then an immediate right onto S. Bedford Street. From the South: Take I-90 towards Madison and get off on the Beltline West. Take the John Nolen Drive exit and stay on John Nolen towards the capital. Once you go over the bridge across Monona Bay (water on both sides) take a left at the light onto N. Shore Drive. Take an immediate right onto S. Bedford Street. From the Far West : Take the East beltline and get off on the John Nolan Drive exit as above or get off on the S. Park Street exit (before John Nolan) and head on Park Street towards the hospitals. Turn Right onto 151 (West Washington) and a right onto 151 (Proudfit Street. ) 151 bears left and becomes N. Shore Drive. Turn Left on S. Bedford Street right before you hit John Nolan Drive. From All Directions: 301 S. Bedford Street, called "Bedford Square", is one of two attached buildings on the corner across from the Findorff Building. It has mostly red brick and green trim. Come up the stairs and turn right after you enter the building. Suite 4 is on the frist floor, right around the corner to your right after you pass the mailboxes.
