About

Michael Fortier specializes working with school aged kids to seniors, male and female with massage therapies and osteopathic manual therapies since 1999. He was first drawn to Lymphatic Drainage Therapy having trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, then starting in 2005 receiving extensive training in Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Heart Centered Therapy, and Brain curriculum via the Chikly Health Institute!

Michael then began extensive studies via the Upledger Institute in 2006 with Craniosacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, Conception-Pregnancy-Birth and Unwinding Meridians Acupuncture Principles curriculums! 

From there Michael has continually refined his skills with extensive training via the Barral Institute starting in 2010 in Visceral Manipulation Therapy, Visceral Pediatric Principles, Neural Manipulation Therapy, and Manual Articular Approach!

Michael has been practicing Tai Chi-Qigong-Breathing Practices since 2010 and has been teaching/leading Private, Small Group and Community Classes since 2015 with certifications from Supreme Science Qigong Center and the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi.

Michael is a 200 Hour Certified Teacher from the Institute of Integral Qigong (IIQTC) & on the Faculty as a IIQTC Senior Trainer. 

Michael is a Circle of Life Certified Coach via Health Action Inc., a Certified Postural Alignment specialist via Egoscue University, a Certified Fascial Movement Kinesio-Taping Specialist via RockTape, and is also a Certified Food Health Nutrition Advisor via Supreme Science Qigong Center since 2015.

Michael is in the process of continuing to add to his extensive tool box by incorporating a Certification in Herbology!

To round things out in his private practice Michael is also a Licensed Aesthetician since 2001 specializing in Holistic Skin Care and Waxing for Teenagers to Seniors for Acne Prone Skin, Anti-Aging and more! 

Michael approaches everyone as a unique individual by utilizing many diagnostic hands on tools to feel what it is your body needs that day physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually to access your bodies very own self correcting mechanisms.

Michael as a former all district/all county high school baseball player playing up to the junior college level and as a triathlete having raced and finished Ironman Texas in 2013 & 2015. Understands the importance of nutrition, bodywork therapies, postural alignment and more for athletes to increase performance, prevent injury and increase recovery!

Michael has led and continues to have opportunities to lead Tai Chi-Qigong training sessions at some of the most prestigious healing centers in the world at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. Also at La Casa de Maria in Santa Barbara, CA and Ancient Yoga Retreat Center in Austin, TX. 

Michael has Teacher Assisted for Lymphatic Drainage Therapy and has been asked to be a Teacher Assistant for many curriculums associated with the Barral, Chikly and Upledger Institutes!

Michael works with school aged kids as young as 1 years old to Seniors, Male and Female specializing in connecting with whatever your needs are for that day that is truly unique. By integrating all these modalities to be able to work with any system in the body whether it is structural and/or energetic.

Michael also gives speaking engagements disseminating practical ways of accessing what is called Activating the Medicine Within with Mindfulness Techniques that are practical and easy to use. Having recently this year given a talk to a Peri-Natal Nursing Conference in Houston, TX on Awakening the Medicine Within!
