About Me

Liz Ingalls is a licensed Physical Therapist who has been in practice for fourteen years. On-going whole body evaluations and patient response to therapy dictate her approach. After receiving her degree in Physical Therapy from New York University in 1995, she began her Physical Therapy career at Mt. Sinai Medical Center providing Physical Therapy to medical surgical patients, outpatients with orthopedic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, vestibular dysfunctions and chronic pain patients. She rehabilitated patients on the orthopedic floor immediately after surgery of the back, hips, knees,shoulders, and neck. In 1997 Ms. Ingalls combined her Physical Therapy experience, dance background and advanced training from The North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy to develop and manage the Dance Physical Therapy Department at New York University Health Center. During her tenure at NYU Health Center, she developed screening and injury prevention programs for New York Universitys Dance Department and developed and managed a chronic pain practice. Ms Ingalls also cared for NYU students after orthopedic surgeries such as Anterior Cruciate Ligament, rotator cuff, labral tears etc. Ms Ingalls also provided care backstage for Broadway dancers and actors. She has worked with The NYC Ballet and on shows such as The Lion King, 42nd Street, Cabaret, and Chicago. Ms. Ingalls is Certified in Craniosacral Therapy and has advanced training in Visceral Manipulation, Zero Balancing, Lymphatic Drainage and Somatoemotional release. This specialized training allows Ms. Ingalls to treat all types of injuries with a high level of sensitivity and expertise. Liz Ingalls strength is integrating conventional physical medicine with complementary and alternative techniques to treat you as a whole person. Liz has been in private practice since 2001.
