Dr. Lisa Upledger received her doctor of chiropractic degree cum laude in 1981 from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She practiced privately in both Colorado and Florida before joining The Upledger Institute HealthPlex Clinical Services in 1991.
In addition to her formal medical education at Palmer, Dr. Upledger studied at the Hug Integral Yoga Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland, the Center for Yoga and Sports in Eastern Quebec, Canada, the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colo., and the Friends World College in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Upledger has also been studying with The Upledger Institute since 1986. She is an alumnus of advanced CranioSacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation workshops, and has extensive training in Applied Kinesiology and SOT Chiropractic Technique. Aside from her clinical practice, Dr. Upledger teaches a series of four-day intensive courses on CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release® for The Upledger Institute. She has been an integral member of The Upledger Foundation's landmark intensive therapy programs on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Vietnam veterans. She is also an examiner for The Upledger Institute's CranioSacral Therapy Certification Program, and she serves as executive co-director of clinical services.
