Kevin Rose knew he had found his ultimate calling soon after experiencing his first CranioSacral Therapy session. “I felt it had everything,” he says, “the whole integration of mind and body I was looking for.”

Kevin was studying massage therapy at the time at the Boca Raton Institute in South Florida when one of his instructors introduced him to the techniques. It wasn’t long before Kevin was enrolled in his first CranioSacral Therapy class.

While pursuing his CST studies, Kevin worked both as an independent massage therapist and a tropical plant broker. “I know the two don’t exactly go together,” he laughs. “I worked in the tropical plant business for 17 years, and the income helped supplement my beginning therapist salary.”

As he continued to advance in his CranioSacral Therapy skills, Kevin set his sights on UI HealthPlex. “I knew from the moment I heard about the intensive therapy programs that I wanted to be a part of them,” he says. “I started to extern at the clinic.” In February 2003, Kevin realized his dream of working full-time in the intensive programs when he was invited to join the clinical staff on a permanent basis. “It’s been a great learning experience for me,” he says, “especially when I encounter someone who’s gone through so much and yet has this zest for life. It’s really inspiring.”

Kevin Rose joined The Upledger Institute as a staff clinician in 2003. From 2003-2006 He served as Director of UI HealthPlex Intensive Programs. These one- and two-week outpatient programs offer intensive CranioSacral Therapy and related modalities. A 1996 graduate of the Boca Raton Institute, Kevin brought with him years of massage therapy experience with advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy. As an Advanced Practitioner, Kevin has participated in many of the Upledger Foundation sponsored programs. Some of these include: 2001 New York PTSD Program for victims of the 9/11 Tragedy, Lemoore Naval Base Program for military personnel returning from Iraq, and several Dolphin-assisted Intensive Programs. An Upledger-certified teaching assistant, Kevin is also Diplomate certified in CranioSacral Therapy. He applies his skills to individuals of all ages who need a concentrated amount of therapy to strengthen their healing processes. He also works with clients in private clinical sessions. Kevin has also applied his Craniosacral skills working with animals. He has treated animals both wild and domesticated,including the following: wolves, dolphins, birds, dogs, cats, and horses. While maintaining a private practice in Altamonte Springs, Fl., Kevin continues to work on a part-time basis at The Upledger Institute. As a visiting Therapist, Kevin works in the Intensive Programs and is available for Clinic appointments as well.
