I have always been drawn towards healing and optimal health and although I obtained a doctorate in Marine Biology in 1993, it is medicine that was my first passion. Caring for the health of my two children motivated me to go back to my natural calling. Wishing to avoid a recommended laser surgery for draining fluid from my then four-year-old daughter’s ears, I found the non-invasive CranioSacral Therapy. After only one session my daughter told me “Mom, I feel water coming out of my ears and my nose is running”. She has been free of ear infections since that and her immune system became stronger. Then my baby son found relief from colic with CranioSacral Therapy. Impressed by the results of this seemingly passive technique, I decided to receive regular sessions of CranioSacral Therapy to boost my depressed immune system. Shortly after my first session I realized that I finally found what I was looking for, an integrative body-mind type of therapy. Not only did my overall health improve but also I knew that I had found my life purpose. I started using basic CranioSacral Therapy techniques on friends and family, and I began my formal training in 2003 through the Upledger Institute, recognized worldwide for its groundbreaking continuing education programs, clinical research, and therapeutic services (www.upledger.com).

What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on, whole-body method of releasing restrictions in all the body tissues, especially around the brain and spinal cord to enhance central nervous system performance, strengthen the body’s natural healing processes, bolster resistance to disease, help and often resolve chronic pain, and improve overall health.

Who can benefit from CranioSacral Therapy and for what health conditions?
Almost anyone can benefit from a session because it is very effective as a preventive health measure. It has also proven effective on puzzling cases that have not responded well to other approaches.

All ages come to my office. I treat babies, including newborns, who have nursing issues, misshapen heads, and/or colic. CranioSacral therapy helps toddlers and children with neurological disorders (Down syndrome, Retts syndrome, Autism, Aspberger's syndrome), with Cerebral Palsy, scoliosis, depressed immune system, ADD/ADHD, ear infections, headaches (including from wearing braces), cross-bites, dyslexia.
Pregnant women are welcome. We will always find a way to accommodate your needs and make you comfortable.
The elderly population also benefit from CranioSacral Therapy, in helping the nervous system to stay in shape, in fighting the damages from Alzheimer, in improving sleep, memory, and promoting relaxation and well-being.

Other common conditions treated with CST in my office are headaches, migraines, neuralgia, chronic neck and back pain, sinuses conditions, earaches, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, stress and tension-related problems, immune system disorders, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, liver disorders, colitis, stiffness in joints, numbness, emotional difficulties, TMJ disorders, anxiety, insomnia, PMS, vertigo and dizziness, car sickness...

CranioSacral Therapy helps find the root causes of pain, tension, and life difficulties. My clients notice an increase of their energy flow, a better understanding of their whole being, in all its dimensions, an improvement and correction of their chronic condition.

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your response to CST. While one session may give you the relief that you need, your particular condition may require more therapy for complete resolution. It is common for your improvements to continue between sessions or weeks after sessions.
