Genevieve Boyer

RAc, BSc, FABORM

Genevieve sought out acupuncture and craniosacral therapy treatments as a means of being proactive about her own health. She was so impressed with the results and so affected by the theories and principles underlying these wholistic, mind-body medicines that she decided to pursue them as a career.

Genevieve is trained in Upledger techniques to release restrictions in the fascia and craniosacral system, as well as somatoemotional release. She has also done specialized pediatric training and regularly works with babies and children. Genevieve finds craniosacral therapy particularly effective for muscular and joint pain, anxiety, depression, digestive and sleep disorders (including colic), and in healing any kind of physical or emotional trauma. Genevieve provides craniosacral therapy in combination with acupuncture treatment or on its own.

Genevieve received her training in acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine from MacEwan University in Edmonton. Since then she has completed additional training in pediatric acupuncture (non-needle and needle techniques), fertility enhancement for women and men, pregnancy support, Qigong, scalp acupuncture for neurological diseases, and others. She regularly works with people of all ages to help with a wide range of health concerns. She is registered with the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta and is a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. She has also worked as a part-time clinical supervisor at the MacEwan University Acupuncture Teaching Clinic.
