About Me

Eric Moya has been a career therapist and educator since 1996. With an initial licensure as a massage therapist, he pursued advanced training in numerous advanced modalities spanning the integration of mind/body/spirit therapy. In 2006, he completed his masters degree in mental health counseling to complement the manual work as well as additional training in group facilitation, conflict management, and coaching.

As an educator, Eric’s teaching has spanned a numerous international venues overseas and in the Americas and on numerous subjects. Subjects have included CranioSacral therapy, Lymph Drainage, Ethics of Manual therapy, Mind/Body health, working with patterned trauma, and working with Chronic Depletion. His lectures have included presentations to national associations of massage therapy in Canada, United States and international associations of CranioSacral therapy. He has been a teacher and lecturer for the Upledger Institute (developer of CranioSacral therapy since 2000).

Professionally, he was the owner and Director of The Ripple Effect: Center for Advanced Manual Therapy in Albuquerque, NM from 1998-2008 when he then moved to Carmel, California and spent five years as Director of Education for the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. At Esalen, he oversaw professional development of the staff and long term students as well as supervision for the massage therapists and professional facilitators of Esalen. Currently, Eric sees clients in Carmel and San Francisco, and continues to travel and teach about CranioSacral therapy and mind/body health. In addition to private practice, Eric teaches numerous courses for the Upledger Institute, is the developer and ombudsman for the CST working with chronic depletion class as well as the developer and ombudsman for the Clinical Mentorship program. Most recently, Eric was certified to teach the CranioSacral Dissection course.

Eric's latest passion project is The Idea Crucible, an online multimedia periodical that seeks to support emerging dialogues and training on bodymindspirit integration. The Idea Crucible brings together practitioners of various backgrounds with webinars, articles, blogs, discussion groups, and peer supervision groups.
