Ph.D., CST, L.Ac., S.E.P.
Dick has studied the body and its many ways of healing for over 30 years. He takes delight in finding all that the body has available to facilitate its own healing, if the correct intent is present. A serious health crisis in his early 20’s lead Dick to explore “alternative/complementary” healing in his search for help, and he has been studying and enjoying it ever since. His first study was Polarity Therapy, which was followed by his training and certification as a Rolfer®, and then eventually both Advanced Rolfing and Rolfing Movement certification. Dick then sought out and studied CranioSacral Therapy with Dr. Upledger in 1982, several years before there was an Upledger Institute. Dick is an Upledger Institute certified Instructor, and is certified at the Techniques level. Other trainings have included Somatic Experiencing – Peter Levine’s brilliant trauma work, and Pre and Perinatal Birth trauma work with Ray Castellino. He is a licensed acupuncturist (Montana), is nationally certified as a “Diplomate in Acupuncture”, and also has a Ph.D. in Acupuncture from the University of Health Sciences in Hawaii. He was certified as a Homeopath by the International Foundation for Homeopathy in Seattle. An early interest in Yoga and movement led to him teaching Yoga at age 18, and eventual recognition as a Registered Movement Therapist (ISMETA). Other teaching he has done includes Touch For Health, and Applied Kinesiology classes. Many years of meditation allow Dick to bring a unique healing Presence to all his work. His warm and joyous humor makes the healing process easier – and more enjoyable - to go through. Dick is fortunate to share his office and his practice with his Beloved wife Avadhan. My Skills
